I don't think it is the Russian people as much as it is Putin and his administration. Many Russians don't want this war either.

There are many that don’t want the war. Agreed. But it’s not the administration that suffers brainwashing. I still remember tales from Russians in Ukraine at the time of the invasion starting. Them reporting home to their relatives and they not even believing their own flesh and blood. Not saying all Russians are guilty of this. Just pointing out that unfortunately some will blindly follow. I’ve also seen videos where Russians get interviewed and they are pretty switched on. So like everything. There are two sides and the focus group matters.

Yes, at the beginning many Russians did follow what Putin was telling them. However, things have changed as many young men have fled Putin's conscription efforts.

Russia amassed troops on the boarder giving the US plenty of time to come to an agreement, Putin did not want Ukraine becoming part of NATO, but the Biden admin. did nothing to prevent the invasion because they wanted it to happen.

Chuck Schumer has been on TV crying about funding for the Ukraine war, claiming there are Jewish concerns there too..... when Schumer is making a public appeal, you know dam well a lot of money is moving under the table and wealthy friends in the military industrial complex are getting richer.

The Biden admin. wanted this war and they did nothing to prevent it, now we face global escalation.

Without credible evidence you are again making claims that cannot be backed up. Biden did not WANT this war and neither did Ukraine. It was pushed on them by Putin. He annexed Crimea and has been taking parts of Ukraine for years. Then came this all out invasion. The difference is that Ukraine has held them off with the help of the U.S. and the EU. Putin thought this was going to be easy. Thankfully it was not. Also Ukraine was never in contention for NATO admission.

Speaking of carbonated beverages has anyone here besides myself ever brewed their own beer? Soda pop bubbles are huge, but the ones in home brews and wines are tiny and so very much more enjoyable. At least to me.

I didn't say that Ukraine doesn't want to be in NATO and there are even many Republicans who have floated this idea. I believe that their security as well as our own and that of the EU could be enhanced by Ukraine's admission to NATO. But, that can only happen once Russia has been defeated. It is and has been a total nonstarter since Russia invaded en masse.

The facts are that there are Republicans who have said Trump's talking about pardoning these felons is not what he should be doing. Karl Rove is only one of these. Trump calls violent defendants hostages, but Rove called them thugs.
