Thanks to H2Oxide's help and advice over at FAIL THREAD!!!!, I'm here to introduce myself and say thanks for running such a great joint.

I'm here about the birds. As I replied to H2O, I really, truly, honestly, did search here for "bird", "birds", and "bird control" but got--wait for it--goose eggs. I apologize. I'll make better jokes the longer I post here. :D

In fact, along with the Search function going in fact nowhere (the insert point in the Search field just keeps on blinking at the end of the search criteria and that's it), the LPF Laser Pointer Company dB link goes to a... blank page. Is it me?

I'll punch up my profile in due course and I may add an avi but I'll need more coffee to decide on that one.

In the meantime, clearly there are a lot of brainiacs here and I'm learning more than I even realize.

Which search did you use? The Google one at the bottom of the page? That works far better than the forum's built in search.
 
Welcome to the LPF!

Remember to be safe. I think you might find what you are looking for here. At least you will find direction where to look for it. There are even special products designed for bird control. Often lasers are not even needed - depending on your needs, some ultrasonic bird control device might be much more effective than laser.

Heyas Vetttech, thanks for the link and good news--I did check that out a while back and the price made my wallet curl up and cry. So the search continues. I'm willing to plunk down only about 60USD, max. But thanks kindly for the hail and welcome.

I used one at the top of the forum page and another at the bottom. Didn't see a google icon on either, so used a separate browser tab to search and then take any LPF link from there. I do that when searching other sites, like Wallyworld, which definitely has a Made in Falkland Islands search engine.

Hey welcome to LPF, I've merged you're last 4 posts into one, that way it's a lot cleaner. Try using the "multiquote" function next time. :yh:

Scroll all the way down to the end of the page. It is there; a thin whitish bar across the entire page with a "powered by Google" under on the far left side.

You've got mosquitos and huge cockroaches that can fly and heat with humidity that will make you sweat in the shade. Went to college there.

Labeled "powered by Google": nope (I do use AdBlock; I did use this search box, and it's this search that completely fails to execute here; away from here, I use ixquick or duckduckgo search engines and use google very sparingly otherwise)

I see you have lived in a TX for a bit. I'd guess somewhere within spitting the Gulf and/or Louisiana. Flying cockroaches, the original mini-drones from hell. Har.
