Worried customs has seized my laser

I ordered a 100mw laser from lazerer and in the tracking it says pending customs inspection and has been like that since the 24th of July , just wondering how long customs could take I know I would get a letter if it is seized. I live on the east coast of the United States

I'm not 100% sure of US customs. But I know from what i've read that usps are notorious in not updating the tracking numbers until well after it hits your door step.

I wouldn't be too worried yet, Give it another week or so.
 
Okay thanks man, I also order EMS but customs has nothing to with that I'm assuming
 
It's really luck of the draw, but generally speaking you're probably going to get your laser.

Give it another week or two before you start to panic.

For EMS, give it a few days.

ive had flashlights sitting at customs since the same day. what tends to happen is domestic mail gets priority and whenever they get around to the mail from HK/China, then they sort it......stupid customs!

You should get your laser. USPS is like a drunk horse , once I had a laser sit in NY customs for a week then they sent it to LA and I live in CT. Just to show how messed up they are, I got a piece of Thorium from Thailand that was just in an envelope, so much in violation of the regs that it should not have made past the first entry point. This piece was HOT! and it just went through the system and I found it in my mailbox. It puts out 20,000 counts per minute. Which is a lot.

You should be able to rep people already. You have 19 rep points right now
 
No actually you can't leave positive or negative rep until you have at least 50 posts. Regardless of how much rep you have already, any rep you leave will show up as neutral until you hit 50.
 
IE, is that how it works? Been SOOOO long since i was there that i forgot when my rep started showing up :crackup:

@13, start posting (dont post random crap since thats how you get a ban) :D only 9 more post until your wish is granted. you can thank me or IE, but id like to think that i subliminally told him the answer :na:

Well i read a post I'm happy with and get something out of it i rep the person, that's the way it should be

Have you read all my posts there is always someone in every forum you don't get on with always, there and i knew i would get the reply i did from that person there are plenty if of posts out there from ppl that have been in for a long time that say a yes or no comment but that's OK if your a noob you get squashed for doing what many others do just post as you want to say a comment isn't a crime, there is obviously going over the top and i got that know I'm paranoid on every reply I'm going to get that one person on my case ...

@Livinloud you were right DOMESTIC MAIL gets PRIORITY I think that should be added to a shipping timeline sticky

im not squashing your posts and personally i rep when i come across a good informative post. all i was trying to say is rep isnt freely given out here, its something special and needs to be earned; going out of your way to help someone, digging up useful information, sharing a killer deal on items, taking amazingly detailed photos, coming up with a thread that is SO helpful it gets stickied, etc...... if rep was freely handed out then it would have no meaning. everyone here works hard for their rep and its more satisfying when its earned and not simply given. its your first month and you already have a 6 rating, relax, you are doing fine!!!! i dont think i got my first rep point until after my first month here and since then ive just been helping members out, going out of my way, etc......but thats just the type of person i am. continue as you are and youll be fine :beer:
