I will need to purchase two more 18650 batteries to combine with the two i already have. I will be setting them up 2 in series and 2 in parellel so i get double the voltage and mAH for a school project. Any objections for safety issues?

It's always good to use the same brand/quality batteries when combining them together. Since i already have two ultrafire, it's much cheaper to just get more than ultrafire instead of spending $40 on 4 more

Beside ultrafire isn't too bad. At least its not the 1300mAH ones that comes with the arctic.

Didn't see that the first time round. You can always take off the protection circuit later

They look the same to me. Chose the cheaper ones, $7.31 isn't a fortune for two 18650 batteries.

I have also gray Ultrafire 2400mAh in my lasers and they all still working fine.

Don't mix cells. Use only one cell, or get better cells.

If you mix cells, they should be from the same manufacturing batch. Just because two cells have the same Ultrafire wrapper doesn't mean that they are from the same batch. Heck, it doesn't even mean that they are the same cell. It just means that they haven't run out of those wrappers yet.

I have bought lots of them and they all perform well. Capacity is 2400mAh (unlike most other cheap 18650s). They can supply more than 3A.
