From time to time lenses need to be replaced many companies sell lens singlets, but never a wide variety not AR coated off the shelf. Many people ask where. Here's a very good place to buy quality lenses. They are a good company and have been in business for decades.

WL used to be able to replace lenses and maybe even just send it out to you but it would mean going through Steve (bbbbiiiiiigggg no no) and he used to charge a lot. I've heard loads of people recommend edmund optics so just try them as long as you know what lens you're looking for.

OT, but is Edmond optics a banch of Edmond Scientifics? if so I vouch for their quality! my father used to order a lot from ES and they always shipped top-knotch! (though this was bakc int he 80s, so...)

No,
Edmund Scientific is in no way related to Edmund optics and in fact they sell really really cheap and by that I mean no good optics.

A lame company bought the name from edmund many years ago and it's gone downhill since.

Where did you read or hear that ?

IMHO edmunds optics is ok for new stuff if you know what you are getting into. Do not buy their grab bag. it's full of broken crap.

I see.

Edmund Optics DOES have an offshoot...

ANCHOR OPTICS

quote "Anchor Optics, a division of Edmund Optics, offers it's(hehe grammar nazi) own line of commercial quality optics. Anchor's commercial optics are not as highly specified as Edmund's line of optics; therefore, Anchor's line is offered at a lower price point." end quote

I have the catalog right in front of me.
