where can i find a actual <5mw laser in the us?

I'm looking to buy a couple 5mw or less pointers so my nieces can starts to learn about saftey and the fun parts of the laser hobby and would prefer a us seller and something of half decent quality

Most cheapies are actually overspec. They are generally around 30mW but some go higher.
This one is guaranteed to be at 5mW but a bit pricey. You don't want to take chances with higher powered ones with kids.

I don't like your chances.. I would love to build an actual 1mW Laser, But I don't know how easy thats going to be.. I hope to just get a weaker diode and turn the current all the way down whilst having it on a meter.
