Where Can I Buy 5mw Infrared Lasers?

Hi,

I searched all the popular suppliers for a 5mw infrared laser, but couldn't find
one. (I did see infrared 5mw diodes and modules, but I don't understand how
to make them or use them.) Does anyone here know where I can find one?
Or, would someone like to build one?

Thank you for your help,

Greg

Why would you want an infrared laser at only 5mw? You can't burn with it... you can't see it

What wavelength of IR are you looking for? Here is a cheap 5mW IR module for $5, just contact them and ask about the one on the price list: Laser Price List

I plan to try cold laser therapy (low level laser therapy) on my body. I want 5mw IR for deep penetration. Any IR wavelength is OK, but ~850nm is ideal. I prefer a fully assembled laser, since I don't know what to do with a module.

Never heard of this, what are you trying to cure with IR? Also, I could be wrong, but would 5mw of IR actually penetrate the body beyond a few millimeters?

I'm trying to stimulate my adrenal glands. 5mw IR is used by many cold laser (low level laser therapy) tools. If anyone knows where I can find this, I really need your help.

I don't know of any asambled 5mW laser, but I think I have the solution for your problem.

Since it's focusable, make the spot big (you'll be able to see the dot with the mobile camera for instance) until it has 2 inches or so of diameter, this way you'll be stimulating a bigger area at the same power level a 5mW pointer would do.

I'm sure someone here will do the maths to tell you the exact diameter needed to make this.

And everything for 35$+shipping! O-like is a very trusted seller here, I can ensure you dealing with them is really easy.

Albert

Thanks Albert, but I really need 5mw. 200mw is way to strong. 5mw is
recommended for therapy to prevent the body rejecting it by polarization.

Have you considered an infrared lamp massager.

That should serve a similar purpose, perhaps not as hi-tec....

Well Greg did ask for a 5mw infrared pen so maybe someone could construct one for him instead of giving him alternatives. A lot of people here can do that kind of thing.

If anyone here would like to build one, please let me know the details and price.
Or, if anyone can help me understand what to do with a diode or module, maybe
I can do it myself.

Thank you!
