What is the best multimedia program for windows?

There is no single program, but Adobe is the way to go.

how are we talking multimedia? Playback only? Creation? cause if it comes down to only playback, VLC media Player is the king hands down.

I dont like the way VLC connects to the internet all the time. I use BS player. Not much better, but it stays off the internet.
I think VLC player is best. It is quick, compact and plays lots of video formats (including flash, which is handy). Itunes is good for linking up with the Itunes store and ipods but otherwise I find the program to be a bit bulky and system resouce hogging. I've taken to using Winamp instead.
