I found an Ultrafire 200 lm flashlight on Amazon i'm interested in. It says it needs either 1 18650 battery or 2 cr123a batteries. I'd like to use the single 18650 for conveniance sake. Would I get the same voltage from the single battery that i would with the 2?

Well, the 18650 has a higher capacity than the CR123a's. Really it depends on what light engine it will be driving. If it is a bulb that requires 6V, you need the two CR123a. If it is something that can run on a single Li-Ion (4.2V charged, down to 2.6V loaded), you'd be better off getting the 18650.

Pardon the stupid question but what is the AW 18650 everyone talks about? What does AW stand for?

Where is a good place in the US to order the 18650? It seems most on Amazon ship from China and i don't wait a month to get my stuff.

Wait, sorry I have to correct myself. I just spoke with him. It's Andrew Wan. :o :banghead:

Yeah I found the batteries on Lighthound. I had been searching all over for AW batteries on Amazon to no avail! :o
