I assume he requested a temporary ban. Everybody needs a break now and then. You should see 4chan, loads of people are begging for a ban so they can get away from the computer and on with their lives.
It would be nice if Avery chimed in on this one though.. a lot of odd decisions have been made recently so it is always good to know what the "official" reason is.
