Hello Everyone I just joined these forums a minute ago great forums here :)

was doing some research on the subject and wanted to get some input.

I am thinking there is a possibility i could get into some trouble selling high powered lasers from within the US. comments?

So you already sell lasers from within the US? What's your website?

No im a first time international seller but ive made over 5000$ on US ebay not using a ebay store just selling.

Just make sure to check the laws from where you're operating out of and where you're shipping to. I know the US has held a few lasers for being >5mW, so...
Edit:: Reread the topic title xD Silly me. Shipping out of the US... I /believe/ is okay, but you may need some sort of permit to do so? Also, does Singapore have a large market looking to buy lasers?

Aside from that, as long as you guarantee the power output for your lasers I'd love to see some more competition in that area. More competition generally = better products and lower prices. Good luck!

I probably wouldnt sell modules alone it would probably be handheld lasers only. I would of course guarantee the power outputs i have a LPM (laser power meter) i would test every one of them before listing. It would probably be a couple weeks before i got a significant inventory. Im just a little concerned i would get into trouble because high powered lasers are kind of illegal in the US (i think). I would be shipping them from the US. Just wondering if anyone here is more knowledgeable on the subject and can give me more info or advice on exporting high powered lasersa from the US. Thanks

SELL DIY PARTS>>>> LIKE GREEN MODULES... bypass certain countries restrictions = more buyers

Or just do the bloody paperwork and get certified to sell in the US. Its NOT rocket science...

Well STEVE you make a valid point. I for one enjoy putting them together myself. Hence the DIY statement.

Selling modules is something i will consider so i could bypass some countries laws thanks for the suggestion, but currently im trying a business plan with handheld lasers if that doesnt get good profits i will maybe sell modules
