Thanks! I'm sure this will be helpful for anyone else who needs a tutorial as well. When you are putting the diode in the heatsink, how far in does it need to be?

Didn't I mention that? It needs to be flush with the surface.
So the lens of the diode, has to be as far out as possible, as long as it's not protruding out of the heatsink?

Uhhh...
There's the heatsink, diode assembley and the focusing assembly. Focus goes in halfway, you can change that as you wish. Diode is flush with heatsink.

There is no lens on the Aixiz module. The lens is screwed in afterward (the little blue knurled thing in the video). The Aixiz module is flush with the heatsink. If it hangs out it doesn't look as nice and your heat transfer won't be as good.

It's 1.2 Watts of collimated light...
It does all of the common tricks easily and fast.
