Spyder III G1 vs G2 question

Hi everyone.

I finally got my WL Spyder III in the mail. How do I know which version they sent me? The G1 or the G2? I can't tell the difference.

It will have something like this on the side.

WTF? Is this a troll?
Everybody (except you, obviously) knows the exact difference between the G1 and G2, and it has absolutely nothing to do with "optics" or "power output increase".

No, I'm not a troll. I'm just curious. I do not know the difference other than apparently the magic button on the side.

Wow you are a rude human being. You must be a blast at parties.
 
There is no difference other than the button on the side. Hopefully they made them a little less crappy though. Maybe assembled them correctly. One can hope.
 
There is plenty of information on these difference contained in this forum already. Welcome, and good luck finding what your looking for!

Actually I am a huge blast at parties. Thanks. :thanks:
I spin (DJ) and bring laser-lighting to most of the parties my crew throws.

BTW: I should probably clarify my question:

Oh, and here is a hint: The button on the G2 actually makes the arctic do different stuff than the G1 (without the button).
Ok, here's another hint: The button on the G2 has a name.... "smartswitch".

As a new Arctic owner, you should look at a tutorial (click on my sig) for ways to preserve and improve your new laser.

Dudde your a DJ thats awesome lol. I wish i can be both a geek and as cool as you are. What clubs do you dj at? I work with the owner of Untapped Energy and pro promote our drinks at different clubs every week and knock redbull off their shelves.
