Oh, I'd love some of those chemicals. (I'm a chemistry student at university, I'd use them right).

Problem is, I don't have a lab/workshop to use them in :( Nuts, so that's a pass.
 
Oooo.... I used to make my own stuff all the time. Been really tough to get the chemicals anymore, though.

I'd love me some german black flake and KClO4 ;) Too bad most places don't like selling that combination ;D KNO3 is a great pyro staple too.
 
I'd just love to make some TNT. There isn't the right chemicals there, but I'd love to get some and make some dynamite :)

Risky as hell, but you get to blow stuff up :)

I used to make something called *********... very dangerous, but simple and easy to get chemicals.  Came out as a white powder and would make a loud pop just lighting a small ~1g pile on the floor.  Probably not the brightest thing to do as it's known to become unstable and can be sensitive to friction/shock/pressure, basically exploding in your face without warning.  Luckily I didn't have any bad incidents with it.

EDIT: I censored my own post... don't want those kids who didn't get the hint that it was extremely dangerous to go out and try it anyway.
 
Yeah, uh, I think we should stop now. I've been full trained to handle dangerous chemicals and such, but most people haven't. I don't want to have kids blowing off their arms on my conscience :-/
 
Hmm. You wouldn't happen to have any H[sub]2[/sub]SO[sub]3[/sub], would ya?  :P

Anyhow, just a cautionary warning, if you don't know exactly what you're doing, CHEMICALS SUCK. Trust me. Before buying ANY, research the properties of the chemical, read, re-read, and re-re-read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) before screwing around with it/them. Not kidding around here.
 
I would love the mercury, only have a small amount left and I'm saving it for a rainy fulminate day :)

yeah... darn kids and their blowing arms off, ruin the fun for all the smart kids  ;D I censored my own post to remove possibility of stupidity, lol.


Anyway, these chems that he's selling would be nice to have for some fun experiments, but if you're selling them to people on here, I'd definitely make sure you get some form of age verification... kids + dangerous chemicals = bad news for them and you.

You have nearly 1 Kg of mercury? Dude, no. Don't offer that up.

That stuff is seriously dangerous. Other things there might be hazardous and make dangerous fumes or something, but that much mercury could screw up an entire ecosystem! We're talking thousands, if not tens of thousands of animals could be killed!

Take it off. The risk of mercury poisoning to the environment by some amateur is not worth the money of selling it.
 
National geographic had a special on the amazon and its gold. They showed a man and his family collecting the gold from the river. Then they showed how the man mashed the mercury with the gold and attached ore in a heavy piece of cloth. Then they showed the man heating the ball of mercury/gold(cooking the mercury off leaving the gold) over a propane torch as the mercury fumes wafted into the air around him and his young children. Heavy thick fumes of the stuff. There was commentary about the toxicity of the stuff. They showed that documentary a year later and left that part with the mercury out.

I would be more concerned about the BaNO3 or dichromate salt, it takes only a gram or two of barium nitrate to kill and chromium salts are carcinogenic by nature. Mercury is rather inert compared, its no easy task to poison yourself with mercury seeing as its insoluble in water and is very dense.

As for the environment, you would do more damage with a few liters of sulphuric acid.
