Hey Ansel, maybe you could go open source, Make a tutorial on how to build them, let people modify them freely to there preference, and then give up on making money on them. If you don't want to make bunches to sell.. maybe let others do so. I mean Mohrenberg puts out hosts for people to build for them selves, but some people opt to buy a few hosts, build them up real nice and sell them at a small profit. I see nothing wrong with this, but I'm just throwing a suggestion out there... :whistle:
 
Not trying to make a fortune here. Always trying to motivate dudes to start their own. But most of them say they cant, because lack of skills.

I would offer bases without the guts....that would make most sense by far dont you think? Would still cost like 400,-$!
 
Well it would make much more sense sharing a schematic or cad drawing if you don't want to make fortunes, right? ;)

Nice! well I guess those with $600 to drop on a host are really lucky, I guess for the rest of us, if we want one, get to the dam drawing board and design your own :crackup:
 
Shipping is so damn expensive. 52,- EURO registered and insured.

Some people already DID spend 500,- Dollar so it is a fair price I guess...but shipping is up to the buyer...insured or not...whatever.

If enough people want one, we could arrange a mass-production including mass-shipping to a central point of the US...
 
If 5-10 people would buy one, I would have to ship for 52,- Euro once instead of adding 52,- to each order. About 70,- $...quiet a lot.
 
So lets start a group buy and find a middle man in the us to distribute them?...
it might take a while to fill up, but then you'll have plenty free time to work at your own pace.. making the work near negligible?

Work is never near negligable...it would take the same amount of time no matter what. Just because time isn't pressing doesn't mean that work is free.
 
Yeah true, I just meant he could do it when he has free time and not much to do, instead of jamming out 10 of em in a few weeks :D
 
Dude xD THAT is not my job. I earn good money as a lab-technician. No need to sell anything. Its more a favor than a business ;-)
20 hours of my damn freetime for one glove. Overtime at work would pay way more...but I like working on stuff like that...still my free time though.

If anybody would do that...shipping to middle of US...than it would be up to him to spread the gloves allover the country ^^ must be a reliable dude from LPF...no newbie.
