(Cross post from "General") About a year ago, I bought a WL Artic Spider (III?). After a couple days I attempted to open the unit and in the process, broke all three internal wires. WL will not touch it because it's not under warrantee (both date of purchase and resold) - I need somewhere that can send it for a fairly easy repair. I'm willing to let a resident expert take a crack at it. I'm in Central Florida, but will ship if there's no local intrest.

There are several members who you can ask to work on the laser for you. Considering you're in the US, lazeerer, and Flaminpyro come to mind.

You have to realize though, that what you imagine to be a small repair, may not be the case. Most likely at least the diode has to be replaced.

Granted, it's sat in a bag for a year so that's very possible, however I took it to a local handyman at the time. He tested the diode with a 9V (?!) and it was emitting beyond that, he didnt feel up to the repair task- of course that stunt could of broke it.

In any event, thank you very much for a lead. I've been looking off and on for some time.
