Question about SF-AW210 6x Sleds

So has anyone heard about or tried out the SF-AW210 6x Laser Diode Sled? [ laser s u r p l u s parts dot com ] has some for sale as of yesterday and I was wondering if anyone has used one yet. If so what current settings would you run it at?

As far as I know, he hasn't had those tested yet. Right now all we have is the seller's word that they are 6X diodes. Buy one and test it for us, please.

Well I had some money to waste so I picked one up. should ship tomorrow. I sadly don't have any testing equipment for mw output. It is on my list of things to buy. I can test voltages to the diode but that really isn't needed. To be safe for now I don't think I will put it past 200ma's till someone can really test it.

I think its funny that they put up the 8x sled. as if they can get any...


edit: OK their website is absolute crap. paypal won't work on it. screw them. I'll wait for Jake or gimalg to test it.

I just talked with him.  He doesn't actually have them in hand yet.  He is expecting them in this week.

You need to "graph" it. It needs to be measured at least every 5mA to look for the first "kink.". Just going for the top will not be a reliable test of the diode. I can run a PHR at 200mA for awhile. However, the first "kink" is at 130mA. The diode should be run under the first kink. I had a 4X run at 200mA for a week. Now we know that it should be limited to under 160mA.

IgorT tests every 3mA. I don't have the equipment to go every 3mA.
