No, Clinton only was able to temporarily ban the sale and import of newly manufactured AW's with specific cosmetic features, which is what they used to define/differentiate an AW from a standard semi auto rifle, something that's been in common use for over a century.
These AWs are the preferred weapon of choice for those who wish to use them against people. They can and will be banned again. Once we get universal background checks one will not be able to sell them without a background check or go to prison.
