I'm interested, yes pics and some specs would be nice. Are these IR filtered?

most 532nm will NEVER be IR filtered unless they are the expensive high powered units. makes no sense to add a $5 IR filter to a $10 cheap pen laser

just grab a IR filter off fleabay and pop the front cap off and glue it to the front of the module, IR filtered :D

I haven't taken them apart, but i can pretty much guarantee that they don't have an IR filter

Heres a couple pics:

How difficult would it be to extract one of these modules from the pen?

twist front chrome piece off and pop it out the front. chrome piece is the hardest part due to the glue used but with your tools it should be easy. if your only after the module then you can clamp down on that piece and gauge it all you want

You can find videos about it on youtube,
take apart green laser - YouTube

I have done it before without the right tools, it was a pain, but I got it without breaking the laser.

I imagine you have a nice workshop, so it should be easy for you :D

Yeah just pull off the front end of the laser, I've done it with my hands before :D

Sorry to derail, but FT sells modules that LPM over 80-100 mW with a small touch added to the pot, if you're looking for modules only.
