These two companys are both great but out of there green lasers
I'd like to no what would be potentially which would be the best the
450 mw Hercules or the 450 mw RPL from optotronics ?
 





Well, I guess if they are both rated at the same power, then it comes down to personal preference . Cost, and weather or not they come with any kind of warranty or replacement policy.
If you could put some kind of link to the products your thinking of , it would make it much easier to do a comparison.

If you are willing to pay $1000+ in the first place, I would go all the way with the more expensive option, the Hercules. The host is amazing - with forced air and TEC which means it has unlimited duty cycle.
Both companies have outstanding quality control and customer service and you can't really go wrong either way.

I've read up on the reviews and both company's are outstanding, does anyone here have both and can tell me which is the better option....
 
"Better option" is subjective. The Hercules is significantly more expensive but it has an unlimited duty cycle. It is also a lot larger than the RPL. The RPL has a 12 month warranty whereas the Hercules' is 6 months unless you purchase an extension to 12 months.
You have to make the choice. What is most important to you?

They both are cracking lasers but the Hercules personally has the edge ...
 
Does anyone here have a hercules who can comment on the overall performance and built quality of the laser?

I like to think I'm not biased. I've never used or seen an RPL but the Hercules is a very solid laser. You can run them continuously for as long as your batteries will last, or you can connect it to it's DC power supply and run it 24/7 if you please. And they are built very solid - you could probably beat somebody over the head with it and it'll continue to work fine.

Disclaimer: Do not beat somebody over the head with a Hercules laser.

Sounds a bit like my (led lenser x21r) that doubles as a truncheon lol...
