well I managed to round up enough funds for an upgrade from my Rpl 260 to a modest Rpl 375 jack worked with me on this 100% and I may still have my marrage intact boy tell your wife that your 900 dollar laser isn't strong enough and you need a 1,100 to 1,400 upgrade the $h1T will hit the fan
anyways will try to get some cool pics and a review this time

Having a wife watching your spending isn't always a bad thing.

No one's watching my spending, and I've just gone crazy :) I totally love it, and I'm getting some awesome stuff, but I'm gonna be poor fairly soon :-/
 
A question,

the laser go back to Jack, and he change the unit or just improve the power ?
 
Hey are you adding $1100 to $1400 to your $900 laser or is it $1100 to $1400 in the end? I couldn't understand your typing lol.
 
the 375 is costing me about 1,150 the 425 wouldhave been about 1,450  but now jack has some new secret ones that i cannot disclose of yet its a surprise lol  ;D ;) :D
 
Ooooh new secret lasers :o price reductions, new powers, new colours ?? :-?

You know I was thinking about that green white elephant. It seems without a collamating lens that green beam wont go more than about 2-3 miles before it becomes a giant green dot. "limited only by the curvature of the earth" is stretching it I think. Take that beam out to where the earth starts to curve and it'll be about a half mile wide. Not exactly a beam anymore. Some of the advertising of the green lasers are like its beam a couple miles out, unbelievable.
I still love my RPL-225 but the bluray and its ever increasing power is not only the $hit but great for art work.
 
I'm thinking my RPL might be sent back for an upgrade around tax time. 225mW just doesn't cut it anymore. :D More power is needed.

Hi John,
I'm glad you like it.
I'm going to have to change the label colors I think to better match the RPL.
I actually took the 1st few pictures myself of this, I'll post them in the multimedia section in a few minutes.

FYI the Optotronics website's shopping cart has been turned off for a day or so, so that we can get the new website's database moved over to the new hosting company and secure server. Everything should be updated and running in a day or two knock on wood.
