Language notwithstanding - why does the site still run the banner ad?

Its an insolvent company without a website.


Its not too late to file a paypal dispute. If you used your credit card via paypal, contact your credit card company as well.


Its unclear what will happen with any of the fraudulent charges. Its unlikely the first time theyve dealt with this kind of fraud. One of thr affected parties should call and ask whether they return funds first in or divide up the recovered assets pro rata.

That depends on the contract. Its dirty money and its rubbing the faces of people that trusted sci fi because of its visibility on this site. Its unclear that the entity even exists - there is no website and hes admitted that his business is insolvent.

my take--
this is an issue between Eitan and the buyers who happen to be LPF members--
its NOT about LPF. So quit dragging LPF and admin or mods into this..
also if the Joker PP acct is froze-any buyers after that would get their $$ back automatically-- makes me wonder if some really paid.. looking at the timeframe.

they certainly did not check here RIGHT before buying...

I beg to differ.

Sci-Fi's buyer base was formed around LPF advertising. A large portion if not all buyers that were clients of Sci-Fi Lasers were from LPF advertisement. That said, nobody's blaming LPF, but it's basically the only place to "spread the news," if you will.
