O-like "Cute Pocket Green Laser" won't turn on

I recently received my 150mW "cute pocket green laser" from O-like. It was working fine, but the focus ring was loose so I fixed it with some teflon tape. It continued to work fine until recently. It no longer turns on after being left alone for a few minutes. To get it to work I have to loosen and tighten the battery cap a few times. Any ways to fix this?

Clean the threads on the battery cap?

I wiped down the threads and sprayed some WD-40 on them, but the problem is still there. It only seems to work when I warm the back end in my hand.

The first cute 150 I received had a bad tail cap on it. I wrote o-like an email with my address and the issue. I didn't receive an email back from them, but in two weeks i had a new tail cap (I suspect it came from o-like)

To test if the tail cap is the problem i took a lead with alligator clips on each end and attached one to the host at the threads and touched the other to the battery.

Or you could test the continuity of the tail cap with a DMM.
