Ah I see what they did, they can mount these rotated 90 degrees, look at the pin cut out so they can mount either way.

So they say 2.0a and 4.75w.........are these a higher vf ? If the take 2a @ 4.5v then that's a huge leap in efficiency, but I expect either 2a is wrong or the forward voltage is higher. You don't suppose they could be a dual emitter design side by side in series, so 2a @ 9v ?? Just spitballing here.

Never mind, the spec sheet says 3.5a max

I bet these are just NUBM08 diodes on the new mounting plate, same specs as NUBM08. Plus the price is cheap, he got me with the nubm42 and nubm49, and I am ready for something new, but I bet this is just an 08

Can you get a good deal, I have been wanting a block of nubm06 with a fairly decent GBall focus, I have bought a lot of them ( nubm06 ) loose singles and some are pretty close to focused, a block like that could be fun to work with intact.

Looking at the specs and DTR's past power tests the 0A looks like an 08 @ 3a it's maybe between an 08 and 44 in output which is all pretty close, however the 44 can be pushed to 4.5a comfortably but the 08 will be unhappy past 4.0a, the divergence is the same but the color is brighter with the 08....however I much prefer the window can of the 44, really the 0A needs to be tested but I don't expect anything special unless the divergence was really good and I doubt that.

08 @ 3a = 4.475

0A @ 3a = 4.750

44 @ 3a = 4.875

Listing says 8Watts CW and 2.5W Pulsed...
Also says 2A working current.....:thinking:

1) Pulsed powers are higher than CW powers.
2) 2Amps current for 8Watts... Don't think so..
3) I think he misplaced the decimal point.
4) Makes more sense at 0.8W CW.
