newby here in need of advice

im looking for a red and green laser
my budget is about $150-ish for both laser together
i want a red one that have good burning power (maybe 200mW)
and a green one that is really just for show. i want one that have a strong beam tho. doesn't really need burning power.
so two company caught my attention when i was doing research (WickedLaser and Rayfoss), but they also raised a lot of questions.

Question 1: What mW green laser gives of a good beam? (solid beam at night and maybe also visible in dim-light area)
Question 2: Is WL a reliable company now? (I've read alot of stuff about how they were scamming or delaying orders):undecided:
Question 3: Is WL/Rayfoss FDA approved or not? (I live in US)
Question 4: Where can i find some cheap, nice, non-crappy glasses?

any personal experiences or other opinions will be great as well
*i sorta prefer WL over rayfoss since WL have cool designs :san:

You can also get inexpensive Lasers with fairly good specs from
O-Like. I would think WL prices would be too expensive..

50mW of green would probably work well for what you want.

I'd personally avoid WL. There are plenty of other good reliable companies out there without trying your luck with them. O-like, rayfoss, CNI(from a GB anyway) etc.

90% of the lasers anybody sells aren't FDA approved even though a lot claim they are. But in all honesty, this usually doesn't matter. People seldom have customs issues.

We could probably recommend a good low price green if you said more about what exactly you wanted host wise. Do you want something that uses primary batteries? (AA, AAA, CR123a, etc) or rechargables? A pen type host or a flashlight style?

Look at the two lasers in my sig.....check the review linked to them I *HIGHLY* recommend them and they are the exact balance IMO that you are looking for. My total was 115USD with express shipping and she threw in a free pair of goggles.

they do look net.... looks like my wages are off on lasers this month again lol, well lasers and a hid 4000 lumens flash light

but i also have a few more about goggles
i dont want to spent alot
but i do consider eye protection to be really important
would those cheap $10-20 ones be good enough to protect my eyes
or should i buy one of those muti-color ones?:thinking:
im kinda messy and lazy, muti-color seems like less trouble
does muti-color goggles provide the same protection?
anyone have any suggestion for cheap, sturdy, good protection goggles?

The $8 532nm goggles from focalprice can be called 'adequate' depending on the power of your laser. When I played with a pair, They were about OD1.5 @ 532nm, meaning you'd be eye safe up to about 100mW. And they were OD2.5 @ 445nm, meaning 'safe' (barely) at 1W of 445nm. Though they start melting at only 400mW if it's held stationary in the beam.
