WOW! What optic are you shining it through?
Damn argons look like a lot of fun , I see why people spend so much money on them. :D

:D

It is just a simple starburst type diffraction grating. It gives a nice beam split and separates the multilines

Here is a closeup of the diffraction disc.

you have no idea.... this is the first time i've ever wanted the weekend to actually be over ;D

the worst part is that UPS comes right when I have to go to work... so I wont get to play with it until I get home wednesday night.

Jase - love the pics ! I shone my "new" argon through a starburst, and I love the way it splits the lines up on each point ! Freaking gorgeous...My wife went to bed since I was still playing with my new "toy" :P LOL She even likes the colors !

Not yet - I will tomorrow :-) her car is in the way, and with me putting up a piece of white paper as a beam terminator - it is simply too freaking BRIGHT ! I'll have more room tomorrow though whilst she is at work :P Muahahahahaha !

nice! Is it set up for current control or are you using the knob on the power supply?

Using the knob for "light control" SOMEONE never got back to me on the cost of extra pins and such.... :P
I would love to have the remote controller for this - as well as an electronic aperture, and ESPECIALLY the fibre adapter ! 8-)

LOL.... Sorry I totally forgot!! I read that message and went to bed, intending to reply back when I got up. So you're saying there is a fiber adaptor made for the 2201?? Because THAT would be awesome! I'm in the process of building a remote, its actually set up in a way that makes it pretty easy to build a remote from scratch. its pretty much just the pins holding me back from finishing it off. Oh yea mine has the electronic aperture, but I haven't decided where to tap in for power yet. There is a +15vdc source, but thats what is providing voltage to turn up the amperage for current mode, so I don't know if it will be able to provide to full voltage to the current sense pin if I tap in the electronic aperture as well.
