So I've been trying to find a seller with no luck.. First I tried sci-fi which turned out to be a total disaster and got took for almost 400 dollars... Then I get the run around by Alien lasers, we had a deal to have him build and ship me a laser and I could pay on arrival. Not only did he go back on his word but now says the ONLY way he will send me a laser is if I send money as a friend. I offered to give him a extra $50 if I could send it regularly so I would be protected by PayPal... He said no... Yeah who in thier right mind would send money to a complete stranger with no protection?!? Is thier any honest businesses around here or is this whole industry a scam? Really this is getting ridiculous.

Hi yoshi, sorry you are finding it difficult to purchase a laser, many members here have purchased quality lasers from podo (sanwu)

Yoshi88, if you really can't deal with a private builder here; Sanwu; or a commercial seller like jetlasers, sky lasers, etc., why don't you build something yourself? The resources are here, and it's really not all that difficult. Just post what you'd like, and I'm sure members can suggest hosts and diodes. Survival lasers and DTR can provide what you need and are in the US.
 
Yeah I don't know much about alien but I have really heard great things, And yes Sanwu is really good as well. That will be my next purchase more than likely, Sanwu.

SANWU will deliver and accept regular pay pal, he may ask for friend payment but you don't have to, if you want it faster get speedyship, he is in China, but he will deliver.
 
No offense to you at all, but I don't blame him for not wanting to send a laser to someone who just joined last month. :)
 
If you're in doubt just buy from Jetlasers or Sanwu. I can personally vouch for both of them(as I've gotten all of my recent lasers from those two companies). They WILL NOT SCREW YOU. Jetlasers is a big company. It's not like scifi where it was some young guy living in his parents basement or something.

As for alien, I sent him payment as a friend to save him PP fees and he didn't screw me over. I think he's trustable.

Yoshi I feel the same I think everyone is a part of some scam or just don't know what they're doing and I'm afraid to order a laser myself. I'll just have to learn making my own.

There is also member Grix, here is his online store: BitLasers his parts bundles require minimal assembly, ships from Norway. If you can try assembling your own I have several build threads showing how you can easily buy parts where the hard parts are already done for you, it can be as easy as soldering 2 pairs of wires and assembling a few parts, some people though can still manage to screw it up, sometimes even more than once, but it's really very easy and you can buy all the parts in the U.S. and have them in 4 or 5 days at the most.

This is part of the damage that SciFi did, he hurts good people who do not deserve this scrutiny, SciFi stole more than peoples money, he stole other peoples business and stole from all of LPF's accountability and reputation.
