Laser Pointers in Japan

Hey guys

Tomorrow im heading off to Japan for 2 weeks.
I was curious if lasers would be hard to find in Japan.
Heading to tokyo, kyoto, all the main places.

Can anyone share some knowledge on the above?

During my trip to Tokyo I was really curious in the electronics district "Akihabara". For those that don't know, it is a large multi city block district full of electronics from tiny microchips to dish washers and everything in between, including lasers. We did manage to find a powerful > 100mw laser, but it took a lot of searching. Powerful handheld lasers are illegal in Japan, so you wont find any on display, had to ask. I did not purchase this laser because at the time the dollar wasnt doing so well, so it was not a very good deal.
