No, you don't understand. It's not for fun or animal abuse, or any of that sort (though people do practice hunting). Maybe I should have been clearer on that; I simply didn't want to bother others with the reasons. But since you think I'm some sick maniac who wants to torture animals, I'll explain. You see, my neighbor's rooster is an awfully loud and irritating animal which has been disturbing my sleep and my peace to the point that it's affecting my health. It's not an animal that is being abused here, on the contrary, it's me that is being abused here by that terrible acoustic disturbance. The owner is an irrational person and doesn't wish to either replace the damn animal nor get rid of it. And, unfortunately, in this part of rural area where I live people are allowed exceptionally to keep fowl despite properties being very close to each other (and only a few hundred feet/meters from here they are not allowed to keep fowl; I know, it's crazy). Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against animals nor fowl for that matter. I don't mind the hens, it's just the damn rooster that poses a problem. A big problem. I've exausted almost all other dimplomatic and legal options, so no advice and suggestions are necessary in that regard, and please don't lecture me on the morals. I'm the victim here. The only solution I see is to eliminate that damn rooster. It's either that or shut him up somehow, but that doesn't work (I've considered an ultrasonic acoustic device but it's doubtful that that will work). So I narrowed down the solution to this. A sufficiently powerful laser would be an ideal tool to get rid of this problem. Silent and very clean. I could have easily lied and asked about the range of the laser and its effects but, you see, I've got no problem with being honest here because I consider it legitimate. It's just that I didn't want to bother others with the reason "why". But in the interest of clarifying it, I explained it. I'm not interested in anyone's moralizing and judgmental opinions, please spare me of that. I merely seek an advice as to the technical capablities of the aforementioned device, whether it could serve as a tool against this sort of pest at a particular distance. No more no less. If someone is offended by that, I'll understand.
