on picture 2961 in the meter it says AR and KR this stands for argon and krypton i guess? can it be all these colors it shows ? purple / blue / green / red?

model types i found inside: specta-physics 168-21 and 070-35
any experts for these lasers in the netherlands? i live in sliedrecht.

It is really cheap, but that head will likely be dead and in need of refurbishment.. It's good that you have the power supply, though. You should post about this over on photonlexicon.com.. Laserman532 over there used to work for Spectra-physics and is an expert on those systems.

the head will probally be alive :P
it came out of a club that was bankrupt.
the guy i bought it from just bought everything in that club.
he didnt know anything about it only that it was a "light" :)
so guess i am lucky on this one. anyways do you know price ranges on these things?
it is water cooled

Depends on the age and the hours.. by the looks of it it is quite old. Used large-frame argons like that can easily go for 1000-2000USD, but in that shape and age I'd say you paid about the right amount. If the tube fires up and makes full power you could get a good amount for it, but you would have to prove that it does indeed work.

5786 hours, says the time counter on the PSU .....

But i see just one possible problem, for you ..... that transformer is a 3 phase one .....

i have acces to 3 phase power :)
so noooooooo problem :D

only problem is that some cables to connect the laser to the psu are cut so i need new cables for that or someone to fix it :(

anyways i got new information
it is a 5 watt laser whitelight series

i really want to get it working now after i seen those pictures (A)

Send a couple of pictures to Pat ( laserman532 ) on PL ( www.photonlexicon.com ). He will be able to tell you nearly everything about it. If I remember correctly 070-35 does mean that it's a white light Ar/Kr filled tube 070-30 is Ar fill, I'm pretty sure.

But yeah - talk to laserman532, he knows these lasers like the back of his hand, or possibly even better than that ;). These lasers are a true work of art.

yup -35 is mixed gas. Lucky you... now see if she fires up!

The hours aren't too bad, as long as it hasn't been abused too much it should still work :)

just tested if there were no leaks in it. no problems with that so now on to rewiring the PS

anyways on PL i tried to sign up but i dont get this part:
Random Question
Laser is an acronym; Enter any one of the constituent words.

there is no picture what should i fill in ? :o
tried searching the meaning of constituent, only thing i can think of is component and one of a laser is a diode? please tell me how that random question works lol :P

Hehe i got stuck on that too ages ago Laser stands for ..

So you put one of them words in that box , light is easy to remember :)

That's funny! I don't remember having to enter that... screening out the dummies isn't a bad idea 'tall!

That is not to screen out "dummies"

It is to keep "spam" software from auto registering and posting ads for viagra.

However a mandatory IQ test would be a nice idea........

You missed out : LIGHT, the most important part.

Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.
