Yep after requesting my money back from dx for the 200mw 18650 laser I decided to go with optotronics and get the rpl 425 : ) man I hope it can light matches :P. also got the goggles and the optics kit so hopefully all this stuff will be in by Wednesday :P ....... going to be a long wait : ) anyway just thought I would give you a heads up because I will probably do a review of it after I get it : )

Oh and who else has an rpl 400+ laser?

Darn this hobby …. I go from expensive leadlights draining my piggy bank ( hey I was 14 :P ) to now big rpl lasers draining my bank account ( hey im 18 don’t make all that much more :P) ahhh what a hobby :P but at least now I have maxxed out my ability on portable….. Next is one of those 100W co2 lasers on e bay :P
 





Cool, cool. I'm thinking of upgrading my RPL-400 to an RPL-425, since I've sent it back to Opto for repairs anyway.

Though really, 25mW isn't much difference, so I'm not sure I'll bother :) Enjoy your laser!

Why do you people keep saying that? Like, if an RPL-300 were to average around 325mW you'd say it's more like a RPL-325.

Well that's crap, because the RPL-325 would average around 350mW :) etc.

So here, RPL-400 might average around 425mW. Then the RPL-425 might average around 450mW. Both will be over spec, so the difference, according to statistics, is 25mW :)
 
Yeah, but wouldn't his current laser already be that much over spec?  So the increase will just be the original difference.

Oh ya.... my rpl avg 440+mw :P and has peaks above 500mw : )..... or so the e mail said ...... but since I live out in the sticks usps said it might get here Thursday :( dam that postal service no wonder every body uses e mail now ..... Can’t wait for the teleporter
 
I would do a review but the USPS feels like holding it for a day...... dam guys are probably playing with it :| dam I hate the postal service it left a major city not but 20 miles away at 10am and it didn’t even get here yet.... what gives hu?
 
Nah, the worst thing is when you see that note in your mailbox that says that you weren't there to sign for it, because then it takes another two postal days to receive it (one for the mailman to pick up the note again, and another to bring the package). It's especially bad when that happens on a Friday so it's THREE days you have to wait. ARGH!
 
Should be happy with it. I got an RPL 300 that is about 325mw from Jack and it is excellent. Of course yours should shoot an extra mile or two ;)
 
Just talking with Jack at it isn't really worth it to upgrade from RPL-400 to RPL-425. The difference is minimal really, and it'll cost a few hundred. Cheaper to buy a DX30 and tape it to the side ;D

I'll wait till there is an RPL-500 I think, or an RPL-1000 :D

dam how you going to ginks me like that...... i received the little card in the box and now have to go up to the postoffice tomorrow :P
