This diode was also graciously donated to me for testing by @Darktron !
This new diode from Osram outperformed all other diodes, hitting a whopping 12 watts of sustained (not pulsed) optical output power. (CW)

Please note that driving this or any other diodes at their max ratings will significantly reduce their lifespan.

To make this clear for future reference this diode specifically is PLPT9 450MD_E (E9633) is a example bin as these 450MD_E will be sold from different bins. Such as PLPT9 450MD_E (B64B70) this one is less powerful but the wavelength is closer to 470nm

Yes it would surpass the NUBM0G which comfortably sits around 8W overdriven.
