Did you use any caps besides what was indicated in the DS?

These are perfect for the 635's because of the case neutrality. Yay, floating case!
 
Would these drivers also work for an 808nm IR diodes (the diode that I have takes 1.9-2.2 volts, max 1.5 amps)?
