How do you store your lasers ?






I have a case similar to that made by Orion. Pricey but worth it. Has pick and pull foam and I added some desiccant packets.

Honestly, I've thought a lot about this lately. Currently, I have a room dedicated in my home to my hobbies... photography, lasers, music, aviation, etc. The door remains shut and I'm more or less the only person that enters. Lasers live there at the moment... grazing freely on the planes of work shelves and bench tops. I'd love something portable that travels well, so naturally I though of Pelican cases. They are a bit pricey and I didn't want to buy one sight unseen (size-wise), so I'm looking for a local distributor or outlet. I'm also keen on an off-brand of a similar style since I don't plan on submerging or dropping the case... aesthetics and function are negotiable. I'm curious to see what people post in here, although I'm sure it's been covered before on the forum. The case you posted would probably work nicely with some foam insert that you could custom shape for the units you stored there...

Yeah. it's not that expensive either, I was looking at small tattoo gun cases here, but they are just slightly to small, I guess you could have the laser going diagonal but no space for spare batteries

You just store it on top of your workbench? You uncivilized brute!!! I throw mine in a drawer under my workbench.
 
So far, I keep mine in a "Red Head" gun case, but it's time to rearrange, or buy a 2nd one; my new 589nm needs a home!

Pretty much I just go to Bass Pro Shop, go to the gun case section and whatever tickles my fancy, I purchase it :D

Almost bought that RedHead case but the Plano was on sale for under $10 so had to grab that!
 
first one looks like it has a divider down the middle so that may screw up your plans. the larger one looks nice but is missing the foam. too bad you dont have a harbor freight over there since they sell these and you can go see them.

take a look at some of THESE. the ACM case is similar to what i have and this is a photo of what it can hold
