i was intending to make this s seperate post in green lasers section so that more poeple such as my self might be benifited, maybe the mods can move it later,
im am so so so very confused
i have read most of this category(also searched for certain keyords like "laser show") and im still confused, please forgive me i am very new to lasers, i am in need of having a rave, and would liek to have a laser show.
it will be a simple laser show, one man driven, i plan on buying the pen laser, and having a few spinning mirrors, i will be on a elevated plane above the croud, and plan to be shooting the laser above thier heads.
a couple things confuse me:
-laser
--laser needs to be bright, i gather more mW, but how much more, at one point i was considering a 55mW laser, but then as it seems it can do alot of damage (1)to my skin and body, (2) if someone jumps high enough to glimpse the moving beam, it may blind them , so i was thinking of a lower one, but i dont want it to be dull.
i also read that a laser only burns at its focal point, so does that mean that its focal point of the green beam burns or the infra red produced does the burning? if its the green laser burning, then is it dangerous to be in the beams path to a certain distance, and after it, the beam is safe to your skin? i ask as i also have the option to shoot the beam behind the crouds back, so their eyes wont glimpse it unless they turn arround.
i am understanding that if i laser is above 5mW then its a high powerd laser, and its is not safe to look into any laser's beam that is higher than 5mW at any distance, so i suppose that means two things, either i make sure that the beam never touches the croud or keep the beam under 5mW
i saw a couple laser shows, and they claim to have had 200+mW lasers. and that show look perfect in terms of brightness, but i dont want to risk anyones eyes or body during the laser show. saftey for my audience and my self is my first precaution, then the brightness of the laser, then buy of couse budget...lol
-difraction gratings
im finding it hard to find large ones i can mount on the motors, i have only seen the square ones for sale.
