Nice color on that ring Glenn! I know a bit about star sapphires and they aren't cheap. I was in India a few years back and in a jewellry store. The salesman put a large blue star sapphire in my hand that was worth >$200,000.00 and it was beautiful. The stars are not broken and that is a plus for your ring too. If your stainless raygun was ready in time, it could get you closer, but I don't think you'll want to part with it when you get it anyway. ;-)

What carrot is that star saphire? i think thats how they measure saphires too. correct me if im wrong.

The ring can be sized and is currently size 9 1/2. The stone is 8 x 10 mm and weight is about 5.2 carats iirc. I do have darker blue natural gems with great a star showing as well, and can do rings in yellow gold or gold of higher KT, (e.g. 18 KT etc.) gold and in platinum as well, so feel free to contact me on other jewelry plans or to sell me any scrap gold or othe rprecious metal from unwanted jewelry or fillings as well.
