hello just joined.. Im new to lasers I just got a cheap 5mw green laser off ebay and find it really cool and now looking to learn more about them and Get a more powerful one.. Ive always liked lasers Ive had several red lasers growing up as kid.. Anyway im from illinois usa and im 27 male..

Welcome, I am sure you will enjoy many years to come of being sucked more and more into the magical world of lasers! You wallet will not like you, but that is something we all have to go through. This forum is great for asking questions, sharing knowledge, ideas and media as well as buying and selling custom made lasers and laser related things.
If you have used the search button as Jerry suggests, read a lot on the site and elsewhere on the internet without finding a proper answer to your question.. there will always be many people ready to help you here!

I'm new too. I'm from colorado. I only know the basics about lasers, such as, that the lasing stuff is stimulated by an electronic charge. I'm only 11........but lasers are awesome!!!!!

I'm in Cnetral Illinois, in a tiny farming town between Peoria and Bloomington (Pop. of 700). This place is a LOT different than Chicago...lol

styropyro, your youtube video made me buy the parts to build a violet laser. then I did a lot of research, and, well, now I'm obsessed with coherent light!!!
