I too, was surprised when I discovered this forum. Also a few other ones, (not nearly as good) dedicated to lasers.
I had one of the first pointers to come out, cost me around $70 or so in '89?
I soon became bored with it and put in in a drawer.
It was only after going to a gunshow and seeing a 532nm (green) for the first time, did I become interested again.
The brightness of the green gunsight blew me away. I was hooked!!
Have fun but safety first. Lasers are not toys. (not any more):beer:
