Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

DAMN !! thats one nice laser. 420ma would give u like 300mw's of Pwn Power !!
I wish i had the money tho :'(

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

i just melted a plastic cup in half with this laser ;D

I dont has cr123& chargers;( how much mW? Runtime?
420ma Will give you around ~300mW give or take. the duty cycle would be 1 minute on, 1 minute off for maximum diode longevity. Cr123 Batteries will give you a good long battery life.

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

I would recommend you get this thing tested, the output might not be as high as 300mW

 ::)  YA THINK   ::)

Didn't you know that Jake had permission to defy the laws of physics? :-?

Peace,

Would 420ma with a 22x LOC diode not give you 300mw ? its the diodes that Ndrew were selling.

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

well its a cool laser damn brite and powerfull, i dont mind sending it to some one for testing. ill through in a fog machine new in box  ;)

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

I've built a lot of long open can diodes at 420mA's. I have had a couple that did 300mW's at this current with a Meredith glass lens. But most of them need about 430mA's to reach 300mW's. This is with the Meredith glass lens.

Using an AixiZ acrylic, you can expect about 245mW's (on the average) at 420mA's...

i dident say it did 300mw, i dont no bc i have no meter  :( but its nice  :) and with a free fog machine

250mW of red is still one helluva hot laser.  You can kick it up a bit by getting a glass lens for it, but 300mW isn't realistic.

**EDIT** I'm sorry.  I thought it was very clear that YOU did not say this.  Wes jumped in with the misinformation.  Jake only claimed the current from of the driver was 420mA, NOT that it was putting out 300mW.

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

Yes.... an AixiZ glass lens will kick it up 8mW to 10mW's or so.

430mA's with a Meredith glass lens will give 300mW's.

Re: fs>mxdl laser @420ma

if i had a glass lens ill through it in but i dont :(
