i have a new bluray pen with and 803 diode with a rkcstr driver thats putting out 140mw it takes 10440 batteries, the paint got scratched so i sanded it off and left it gold it has a old fasion look to it, just some thing diffrent than besides silver 115 shipped

the mxdl is 70mw bluray with a adjustable pot

Hi jake21, i was wondering if running it at 140mw/???ma will it might shorten the life of the LD? and how long does the battery lasts? I'm new at this stuff, but im very interested in buying it if thats ok with you? I can only pay through paypal. Thanks man. And i'll take it for $110 shipped, and i'm willing to pay $120 if you can ship it overnighted.

Yes it will shorten the diodes life span. But no so much that you will notice. You probably wont even use the laser to the life span stated. And battery wise regular alkaline batteries will last around 15minutes

Thanks for the info man, appreciate it. so if the power lowered to 95mw, the it should last longer right? (power output / current draw = battery life per charge). something like that.

wait wes how would you know you didn't build the laser. it dosen't even run off of alkaline batteries it takes 10440 li-ion aaa sized batteries. i think this is jakes place to comment and inform his possable customers not yours
