What do you guys use for fog? I'm looking for the cheapest, most eco friendly option for fog. Anyone got any suggestions?

the two main things people use for fog are incense sticks or a fog machine, I picked a fog machine at Spencers for $40 and will fill a small room in seconds, needing only short bursts to maintain a thick haze

fog spray works but it's a one time use thing - for the cost of a can of fog i could get a jug of fog juice for my machine that will last months of occasional use

Check out walmart for fog machines. I got mine a few years ago before I was even into lasers for just under $20, it hasn't failed on me yet. I got mine a few days before Halloween, but I think sells them around the 4th too.

I just ordered a used 680 watt sharky fog machine on ebay for $40. Im thinking it will be way overkill for my dorm room but i will post an update on how it works when it shows up.

The cheap foggers from walmart and spencers seem to be OK for laser use, but since i havent owned one i dont know. My fog machine cost about $300 at the time, but i also DJ, so lots of output is a must. The fogger is rated at 2.7KW and can fill a medium gym in about 6 seconds with good airflow. I am looking into buying a hazer wich is much better than a fog machine for lots of things. Deffinatley go for a fog machine, the fluid lasts for ages and is cheap.

BTW fog juice is just glycerol and water, and dissipates really fast, about as eco friendly as it gets for fog.

I got a nice 450w Fogger from ebay for £40.

Works well and fills the room in seconds. As someone above said the cans are just a one use thing really, for the same price you can buy a bottle of juice that will last months. I actually only use my fogger 2 or 3 times a month and I am still on the first tank from when I bought it.

It doesnt take much of juice to fill a room either, I left mine spraying it out for 2 mins and looked at the tank after and there was barely and difference in fluid levels at all.

my brother just brought a hazer, wow thats gone be a purchase for me soon i think

I believe hazers are better than foggers?

Downside to a fogger is the huge cloud of smoke before the room fills, a hazer does it gradually right?

Just so you know (estimating how powerful a fogger to buy) a 400W fogger will fill a typical closed 2 car garage "so-so" (takes a few minutes to do it). A more powerful one would have been better, but when I bought it I wasn't sure what power I'd need.

well people can breathe fog machine for for hours on end at parties so i doubt your chinchilla would like die from it - if you're worried you could put the cage in the bathroom or something while you fog an area
