FEELER: Pre-assembled Benboost for 5$ round 2?

Hello,
I saw the GB about Benboost about all the components for just 2.26$ and pre assembled for 5, but I also saw that the guy who owns the thread has not been active, answering mail or PM's for more than two weeks.
Even though, I think bulk buying the component's for the ben boost is a really cheap and great idea that will help everyone.

So what do you say, we will make it work this time?

or are you just selling 5 Drivers that toy built..:thinking:
or are you looking for a GB...:thinking:

Very sorry for the confusion.
This is a feeler, as I read in the sticky of the forum, a feeler is when someone is suggesting a possible group buy.
But there already is a GB for the BenBoost, although it's not active because the one that opened the thread (AKA thread owner :)) is not answering emails and PM's...

So I'm suggesting we do it again but this time the drivers will actually ship.
 
I think for 5$ assembled by someone nice here in the forum the parts need to cost about 2-3$ (depending on how nice that guy is to assemble and solder them for 2$)
and for that to happen we need something like.. 200-300 of each component maybe.

If you end up getting enough interest I can assemble them for you ... I offered the same in the last feeler for these drivers.
 
So I'm assuming the $2.26 price includes the boards? I would probably be interested in a batch of just the parts, and I'd assemble myself (I want the practice).
 
You are right, it includes everything but the set resistors.
I think it's best if the GB will have an option for assembled or non assembled.
 
I like this. I was readying an order from digikey for benboost parts and with the small amount of parts it is rather high.

Now which Benboost do you plan on Using? R6 R9 (rectangular)? R6 R10 or R6 R11? Ben is also working in directly heatsinked version which is a headache to solder together from what I understand.
 
R6 R11, I hope it's good, if not I can change, nothing has been done yet.
Oh and I'm not from the US so shipping price to everybody IS gonna be higher. And more work for me..
 
Guys I seem to have problems with digikey and big quantities, also I figured the shipping price to Israel and then from Israel back to you is HIGHER than it would be if someone from the US would arrange this. Also I believe Digikey don't ship to Israel at all..
 
Can someone from the US take over this GB? AnthoT, can you take this over?
 
AnthoT has already taken another boost driver sale on his account. I don't know two sales is a viable solution. He could make one massive order for the components.
