yup, this certain model number has shown 50-70mW readings!!! I told you some day you will regret buying that 4x... I wonder what they will come out with next....


I myself feel like an idiot, a few moths ago TheMonk linked me a seller who sold these same model HD-DVD drives for 15 shipped... now that the hobbyists are raiding these things, the prices have gone up on ebay..

As promised, here is the comparison of the Phazor against all of the other red diodes I have tested.

As you can see, it really holds its own against all but the king!

I finally finished my first "Phazor-build". I installed the diode in a Dorcy Jr. running @360mA with a 3.7V rechargable and a 3-ohm series resitor, putting out 240mW with a Aixiz glass lens, just as expected . But the real thing to note is the beam-specs ;D. When the dot is unfocused on the wall, the whole circle is filled consistantly with bright even red. When focused, it really smokes stuff!
Anyway, really nice GB Daedal ;D ;D I hope to see these available again sometime.
