I want to test the following wavelengths at different output levels upto 500mw:

405nm
445nm
532nm
650nm
808nm

Is it possible to test the different 500mw diodes (except 532nm @ 100-200mw)
from say 5mw - 500mw with a single driver?

Does the diode need a certain spec for it to be adjustable output capable?
Is there such a driver where you can adjust mw output automatically?

My goal is to test the different wavelengths at different outputs by buying only 1 diode per wavelength above, and test it up to 500mw(except green which would be max 200mw) with the least possible drivers and module/housing, preferably one of each if cost efficient.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Different measurables and compare them for an application I want to develop.

Why not just ask? The community has all of that and more.

All laser diodes are adjustable and most laser drivers are also adjustable.

Realistically speaking here is what your going to get unless you want to pay mega bucks

diode only ...

(powers are listed in peak... acourse you can go below peak easily)

650nm = 200-300mW = 10-15 usd = 400mA = lpc-815

445nm = 1-2W 40-55 usd = 1A - 1.8A = XJ-A140 DLP

405nm = 400-600mw = 55usd = 400mA = SF-BW512P

532nm = no idea

808 = no idea...

google the model and you can pick your own place to buy ...

Not that I know of. The driver will adjust the current to the diode, more current, more mW. But you would need a LPM to tell you how many mW's the diode is outputing.

Can you solder? You could make a cheap linear driver and use a variable bench PSU to power it. That set-up, with a LPM would do what you're looking to do.

I am thinking of a setup like this, model VD-II-O , http://www.viasho.com/e_jg_8.htm?COLLCC=1781315421&
, but dont know if this type of driver would work with all diodes. 405nm,445,532,650,808. This driver displays: current/temperature and laser power as well as current adjustment. I already asked the manufacturer. I hope something like this works. Will wait for reply.

Wow, that looks pretty nice and from Viasho too, should be top quality. I didn't see a price though. Did you request a price? Viasho products are some of the better stuff out there but are pretty expensive.
