I dont know if you guys have ever buy from stone tek, here's my story, I ordered my rkcstr adjustable driver from stone tek on last tuesday, also I have order parts from other companies, but as all the parts had arrived except the driver, so I went to the site and log in to see whats goin on, then today, exactly 1 week after ordering, THEY HAVE NOT SHIP IT YET, well i know they might take sometimes to ship it, so ive wrote an email to Greg(the owner), but he has not reply me for about 3 days, so I decided to go on paypal to see if i could cancel the transaction, so I placed a dispute, then after fews hours i placed it, Greg amazing "fast" reply me, he refunded my money, and also he has banned me from his site to shop(idc), my point is, Im sure that he has seem my email that i wrote about few days ago, but he just didnt reply me, and didnt tell me whats goin on, till he saw me placed a dispute, and my email wrote to him today about the dispute. so anyways hope you understand what im saying coz english is my second language. and dont buy them unless you have no choice. anyways I still need a driver for my PHR-803T, if anyone could sell me yours and pre set the current for me, i'll be happy to hear from you(pm me) or if you could tell me where to buy drivers except stone tek then i will be appreciate too!!!! thanks guy! Hmm...Whenever i have ordered from stonetek i have gotten it in about a week. never had to email them or anything. Greg is a good guy...
 
I konw he is a good guy, ive emailed him about questions be4 I order, and that time he did reply me, but after I order, he just seems like ingoring me or whatever!
 
You filed a dispute after 3 days? Too quick man.

Greg has done thousands of deals on here and his website, was one of the earliest and biggest contributors to this forum, and doesn't scam people. In the early days of his laser parts business, I remember him being nearly wiped out by a scammer who took payment in a foreign country for several thousand dollars and was never heard from again. After the times he was scammed, I don't think he would ever scam anyone.

He's a busy guy, everyone is busy, give people more than 3 days to let you know what's up. It's what, 20 bucks? He's not going to scam you over a measly $20. Have some patience, and don't file disputes so quickly.
 
:tsk:yep everyone want's it yesterday, chill dude. if you keep this up you might not ever get to build a laser as the cost of buying parts from second hands will get expensive, :thinking: then maby I could sell you a driver already set to any current you want, yea thats it forget what I said befor just order your driver here ! what do you want a micro flex, a RKCSTR, how about a custom 317 with ripple caps and rev pol diodes. give me a call I'm in the book.

Way harsh... do a little research first...Everybody has a little something going on.

Greg is not being sustained by his online store alone... If he is my bad...

Three days is not a long time order from focalprice and see what you get...
 
Posted on Ryan's web site (rkcstr), he has been waiting on PCB boards to build more drivers. Until he gets them, Greg cannot ship them to you
 
just so superkai doesn't feel ganged up on. everybody in this post is harping on the 3 day number and ignoring the fact that after A WEEK with out any notice from stonetek, superkai then emailed him and didn't hear anything for 3 MORE DAYS. That is 10 days in the dark having already paid his money. give the guy a break.

now having said that, i have ordered from stonetek and it went like clock work. And I will still do biz with him in the future.

I had no problems with stonetek, I'm sure your issue will be resolved. I recall senkat the owner disliked BS and immaturity. Might what you wrote to him that caused this.
 
I order my driver for a week, and i have emailed him 3-4 days be4 I placed a dispute. so it isnt my fault, he made me no choice, ok if somethings goin on or hes still for the driver from rkcstr or whatever, "at least he should let me know earlier when I ask him when will my order arrive in the email like 5 days ago" because i got all the parts already from z-bolt.com and hightechdealz.com , but just except my driver, of course i have to do something!
 
yea i'd be kinda scared to deal with you pp dispute after a few days
I have used Greg several times pretty good ship time a week or a little more
i know ryans rkcstr drivers are getting scarce at times he may have ran out
i don't know but greg help make this forum what is is shame he doesnt come on as much anymore ps dont order from dx or you'll possibly have a heart attack they take over a month somtimes lol
 
Just my .02

But, in my experience, ordering from big companies, they are always easier to deal with and quicker on shipping.

Ebay sellers are moderate to quick shipping and usually easy to deal with

Private sellers and very small companies are usually slower to ship and are a pain to deal with.

I have noticed the same thing on here. I have almost always gotten the parts, but sometimes it takes a while. (jayrob has been a very noticeable exception)

If you need it next day or within a week you will probably get it faster from someplace like aixiz or meredith, etc IMHO.

However, I would buy from anyone I have dealt with in the past with the exception of BlueFusion, including Stonetek.
 
I've known Greg for almost as long as I've been a forum member, have ordered from him numerous times, & have ALWAYS been treated like I was his only customer. With kindness, fast order delivery, & also VERY knowledgeable & willing to SHARE anything he could with me. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that he was trying to scam you for a lousy $20.00. If you file a dispute with everyone who doesn't deliver what you ordered after only 3 days, I GUARANTEE that you'll be sitting in front of an empty work-bench. Not only that, but word travels fast on this Forum & soon, you won't be able to do business with ANYONE on the forum. Have you ever ordered anything from DX ? You'll be lucky indeed to get your items in 3 WEEKS let alone 3 DAYS. You're expecting miracles boy, give people a chance before crying for a dispute...............rob
 
Guys he ordered it and then after a WEEK it hadn't shipped yet. Then he sent an email simply asking what was causing the delay and doesn't get a reply for 3 days. It shouldn't take 10 days to ship a little driver out in the mail or at least let the customer know what's up if you're having trouble obtaining the driver or w/e.

as previously stated, i will still buy from stone tek.


ps. it is not stonetek's customer's responsibility to check stonetek's vendors for inventory issues!!! Look at superkai's post count. NOOOOOOOOB. People who have been here for a while know where the drivers come from and know what is going on with ryan. leave the guy alone already. He made this thread probably trying to save you guys the headache he went through.
