Is this possible to use and make it case negative with this?

Otherwise I need to isolate both the circuit and the case negative head (pain in the ...)

I ordered a couple dozen to try. They will work and be ultra cheap.

Its just acting as a current sink , there will be 350mA flowing though the diode and the regulator to ground + any supply current on the VDD pin to the regulator itself

Assuming the diode was case isolated then running the driver case ground would work fine .

Thats what I was afraid of. Case negative will bypass the driver entirely
