Hey guys

I've got a DX 35mw (looks like 100mw :D) when hooked up to the DMX board, with some of my scans come out very dim..... or not at all..... :-? HELP! crappy driver or faulty DMX board?

please :D

I have had the same kinda problem when trying to run a pattern. FoKoP, are you having problems with that pattern that produces a rectangle of LOTS of little dots? That pattern doesnt work at all for me, it requires too much blanking for the laser to fully power up lol

Yip and the other come out to dim, cant get up to full power...... guess thats what you get when you buy crappy lasers :'( I WANT CNI!!!!

I'm getting CNI :D

The thing is, that pattern DID originally work for me, its only just recently it decided to be really dim. I will post results of it when I get my 150mw CNI :)

Grrrr, stop saying CNI, mine still aint arrived!!! Grrr!!!

I got good news from dave tho, He emailed me and told me my 100mw CNI is outputting at 195mw's :D Wooohooooo 95mw's FREE!!!

Cant wait, Cant wait, Cant wait

oo nice!

I think dave clocked mine at about 150mw. But for the price I cant complain, even if it is only 100mw :D

Well I got my module today!

I went to hook it up to my scanner's TTL, and switched it on. I was hit with.... a TEM20 and around 20mw dot! :o

I thought the laser module was dead, and tht i'd have to get a refund. But I became suspicious of the TTL signal, and wires the laser PSU (5V) directly to the TTL input. And out comes a big bright green beam!

dave from LSP said that the signal from the program board must not be powerful enough to drive it.

BUT, for the time I had the laser hooked up, I saw that it DID do that multiple dot pattern properly, and I could see all of the dots, during daytime. despite the serious mode hopping and 20mw LOL

I am building a TTL "amp" and will post the results soon

Going to take a multimeter this weekend and see... Think my dmx board is also not working properly...
