Dang I've missed a lot.

I've started to get interested in this hobby again after a break of 3-4 years where all of my hobby money went to guns. I'm amazed at how much has changed. 1 watt green diode lasers?(gotta get one of those lol) Wicked and laserglow no longer shipping >5 mw to the US?(not a huge issue, there are other options). What else have I missed?

Welcome back!

515nm diodes have started popping up, along with some members you got their hands on 561nm lasers for pretty cheap <$400 and 465nm diodes have started making appearances :)

561 must be a lime-green color or something. I also see high powered 635 NM red lasers on O-like now for a relatively cheap price. I wonder how those compare to the old 650 nm reds.

Yep, a nice vomit color :yh:

I believe 515 nm diodes came before the 520 nm ones, though I may be mistaken.

Also, welcome back!

Welcome back. Honestly too much to list. Someone has a LOT of forum browsing ahead of them;)

I have a 3mw 561 and it looks like a green banna.

unlike some people I like it. I have a 520nm diode and it makes 532 look yellowish.

also there are now diodes that do 4 watts+ at almost 473nm.

there's 7 watt 445s too.

638 is much brither than red of 660. Even 50 mw will look like a 660 200mw red since its red with a hint of orange.

I have a 200mw red and it;s much brighter then the old reds that where 660. I had a dilda 200mw.
