Hi,
i want to buy a new Laser: The Spartan 150mW from Dragonlasers. But I heard that I can get the same Laser with 150mW for 240$ at CNI. But where can I buy that? On the homepage is no price or a button to buy the laser. Please halp me, :thanks:

If you want to buy direct from CNI you must email them and pay by bank transfer. Glenn (scopeguy) is running CNI group buys here in the group buy section. If you contact him I'm sure he can fix you up more easily that dealing directly with CNI..

if you buy it directly from cni the difference between buying it off a GB is not that much for example in the last CNI GB the PGL III C 532nm 200mw had a price of $375 no shipping included, i contacted cni and they told me that the total price for the same model including shipping price is $435, so you should go and contact cni

paying with a bank transfer is a pain in the ass and can be risky.. that's actually why I suggested Glenn.

why is it exactly a pain in the ass, besides being risky, does it take to long?

It can take time, plus you don't have the security of being able to start a dispute if things don't go well.. You're pretty much out the money. This is a very important concern with international transactions. CNI is a reputable company, so the risk is low, but for a typical customer wanting to buy a portable laser I would recommend buying from someplace that will accept paypal.

i got a 153mW that peaks at 175mW from rayfoss, Feona told me after testing, that she gave me one of their best one's, and I only paid $70 cause I had a 10% discount! RAYFOSS IS GREAT!

And what can happen if I buy the laser directly at CNI Lasers? And how high is the probability that something happened?

The probability is quite low. I would say that doing business with CNI is safe, but paypal offers better protection in case something were to go wrong.

But I heard that there are differents of the quality between CNI (or Dragonlasers) and Rayfoss. But what are the bigest differents?

The build quality of CNI is far superior. A CNI laser is to a Rayfoss what a Lexus is to a Toyota.

While i have no experience with rayfoss lasers i do how ever own an x125 and must say the quality of these things is amazing : )

So do you think a CNI would actually last longer than a rayfoss laser? Because I know that really cheap laser companies just pot mod their lasers and when you try using it by the 2nd or 3rd day it is ruined and puts out hardly anything (even less than a 5mw). I'm sure that wouldnt occur with a rayfoss laser, right?

haha notice you live in phoenix, just like me ;) Yes CNI is better... In fact it's the highest standard to buy! I believe O-like and Rayfoss are high quaility, I dont think they do any modding, no one ever has problems with them. Anyone on this forum would say is you had the money go for CNI, but if you don't have as much money, then go for o-like or rayfoss.

A fellow Phoenix dweller! This is the season to be in phx, in a month or so it'll be hot and miserable :p
Anyway, I am about to graduate HS/start college so $ is tight. So I cant do any unnecessary spending... But, as just about everyone on this forum would agree, buying lasers is absolutely necessary! So I'm thinking of going with Rayfoss because i talked to FAONA...? on ebay about a year ago and then heard about her on this site, and she seems trustworthy and helpful.
CNI is for after I make it big out of college ;)
