Did you test with a good cell? IMO these are VERY hard on the batteries... when I tested my "100mW" with a crappy ultrafire battery reading didn't exceed 100mW.
 





I tested it with a fresh IMR and my bench supply and both read almost identical except the bench held a higher average so I am guessing the IMR started to sag. I need to get myself a better 16340 cell I think.
 
Me to I was under the impression we where getting aw cells from yobresel not eh or whatever they where.

My tests were actually done using the batteries I picked up from Yob. They perform rather well, but being 16340 size, I'm also not expecting miracles.
 
I've also noticed that the HL532 literally DESTROYS batteries :p I have 2 AW 16340 (protected, 550 mAh) and even with little usage they don't last very long :o No problem though as I always have an extra with me :p

I haven't tested the 'no-name' blue 16340s that came with the laser.
 
Hey guys,

Got mail from kevin today saying that he is waiting for the next one (groupbuy lol), so i think it is good news that having to reship some lasers did not scare him off :beer:

Also we discussed FEDEX shipping details. It is somewhat more expensive but WAY better :p We would be better of doing that from the start IMHO.

I think that if i have FEDEX in the next groupbuy things will be way better!

When do you guys think i should start looking for the next GB? I thought there was some more demand right?

I think another groupbuy after the holidays would be nice (and FedEx for sure!). That way, I/we can start saving up money now in order to get one of the bigger lasers. We would just need to make sure we have our order in before Chinese New Year (it starts on February 10th this time around).

With all being said, I propose that a feeler is in order. What does everyone else think?

Yes please ship the heads before the Black Friday. We want to use it. :)
I am still waiting for my LCD panel. Otherwise I will be using the Fluke for measurements :)
 
Me and offroadfreak8582 bought some Ophir heads to build our own 5Watt LPM. The seller only shipped it within the US so we asked InfinitusEquitas to buy them for us and reship it to Europe. A digital voltmeter panel is also build into the LPM. :)
 
right, i was also going to do the same but then my son broke my parent in-laws big screen tv so of course the Ophir had to wait.
 
Count me in for another group buy after the holidays, sooner I don't think I'll participate. I've spent a loooot of cash on lasers lately :undecided:

Yeah that kinda makes sense, however I will probably have to use the same minimum order ammount. So if I start one at the end of december then there is a good chance it takes a while before it closes.

Kevin arranged "groupbuy shipping prices" because all of the problems with the first way of shipping. This means the FEDEX prices are way lower then one piece orders.

I won't be telling the prices yet though :shhh: it is a suprise for the next GB :)
